Lincoln, 25th October 2010 Spaldings today announced the introduction of a dual bead breaker to their vehicle equipment range. The bead breaker is hydraulically operated to quickly and efficiently break the inner and outer beads without having to remove the tyre from the vehicle. The heavy duty bead breaker is constructed from tempered steel and has a powder coated finish to protect against rust and damage from excessive wear.

The hydraulic dual bead breaker was invented and designed by a Spaldings customer, who brought the product to our attention says Alastair Ramsay, Marketing Manager for Spaldings. We saw the potential in the initial design and worked closely alongside the customer to produce the final and finished product which has since been patented.

The hydraulic dual bead breaker incorporates a heavy duty 10 ton ram and can break beads from 240mm to 800mm wide. The easy to use one person operation breaks both beads through pressure from a hand pump without causing damage to the tyre rim. The hydraulic dual bead breaker requires minimal maintenance and has been ergonomically designed to avoid unnecessary user strain.

The dual bead breaker is a reliable and safe tool that will save the user a significant amount of downtime and money says Ramsay. The user can now quickly, efficiently and safely change a tyre alone without the need for additional help from costly tyre specialists.
