Happy with his ‘haul’ – Novartis trailer competition winner

Dan Bull is thrilled with his new GET 126 Graham Edwards trailer the top prize on offer in the CLiK-Farmers Weekly Blowfly Prevention Competition.

Dan simply filled out the competition entry form to make sure he was in with a chance of winning the trailer, which is worth 4,000. Once wed sent it off we forgot about it, so it was a big surprise and exciting to hear that wed won.

We enter quite a few competitions each year, but this is the first time weve won anything. And what a prize to win! Its going to make life so much easier and well be using it every week to take fat lambs to the abattoir, he said.

Using CLiK has also made managing the estates sheep flock a little easier too. Dans been using CLiK to prevent blowfly strike for several years now and says that it helps to save time, as well as reducing stress on both the sheep and farm staff and hassle.

Dan is the estate manager at the Cambridge-based 1,000-acre Croxton Park Partnership, which is home to a 350-strong flock of sheep, including commercial and pedigree breeds, as well as a 90-cow suckler herd of pedigree Shorthorns and 12 Oxford Sandy & Black sows.

Well be using the trailer to move all our livestock both around and off the farm. Its an excellent prize and its going to make a huge difference to the day-to-day running of our business.
