Explore and grasp new energy opportunities at All-Energy 2010
The scene is set for a record-breaking All-Energy 2010. The UKs largest renewable energy exhibition and conference is being held 19-20 May at Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre (AECC) in Aberdeen, Scotland. This years exhibition is larger than ever, so too is the conference; and the ever-popular Giant Networking Evening returns to its traditional home at AECC, alongside the exhibition and conference. Free online registration is now open at www.all-energy.co.uk
New features of this years show, the tenth in the annual series, include a growing programme of side events including a series of free market briefings and business meetings throughout the two in the UK Energy Excellence Centre run by UK Trade & Investment (www.uktienergyevents.com/UKTIAllEnergy2010/); and a pre-event wave and tidal workshop organised by EG&S KTN and RenewableUK looking at installation, moorings and connections https://ktn.innovateuk.org/web/wave-and-tidal/events; a Jobs Fair on Day Two; and an Education Day involving teachers and career advisers from Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire eager to find out about career opportunities for their pupils.
The outline All-Energy 2010 conference grid, showing which sessions are happening, and when, is online at www.all-energy.co.uk/conference.html enabling participants to pre-plan their time at the show. The latest newsletter encompassing all the attractions of All-Energy 2010 is now online at www.all-energy.co.uk/Newsletters.html
This year has certainly got off to a flying start, says Event Director, Jamie Thompson. Indeed, its been a great good news year with significant milestones chalked up during the first two and a half months including the announcement of the successful bidders for each of the nine Round 3 wind zones within UK waters; the green light given for the Beauly-Denny power line upgrade; Feed-in-Tariffs due to be introduced on 1 April; the Pentland Firth and Orkney Waters licence round announced 16 March; more new onshore windfarms; announcements of investment made by Clipper Windpower, Mitsubishi, Siemens and Shell the list goes on and on!
Most importantly, those announcements are backed by opportunities opportunities for business, opportunities for investment, and opportunities for careers. Its time to grasp the nettle and grab them all, and where better to do it than at All-Energy which has been described as the AGM of the renewables business!
Perhaps not surprisingly our 4800m2 exhibition has a waiting list and further expansion is currently being considered. Yes, there is absolutely no doubt that All-Energy 2010 will be a real record breaker! All elements of the show the exhibition, conference and networking events are free to attend for all with a business/ professional interest in renewable energy, he adds.
Vattenfall is once again the shows principal sponsor and we are pleased that, for the first time, All-Energy is being held in association with UK Trade & Industry (UKTI) in addition to our long-term relationships with RenewableUK (formerly BWEA) and Scottish Renewables.
Working with the Department of Energy and Climate Change (DECC), UKTI has long been an official supporter of the show, and in 2009 they brought Inward Missions from 29 countries to the event. This year UKTI has exchanged its official supporter participation for a more active role a great feather in All-Energys hat! UKTI’s global network has invited delegates from the following markets: Argentina, Australia, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Chile, China, Czech, Egypt, Germany, India, Iraq, Italy, Japan, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Libya, Malaysia, Mexico, New Zealand, Nigeria, the Nordic countries, Oman, Peru, Philippines, Poland, Portugal, Russia, South Korea, Saudi Arabia, Serbia, Taiwan, UAE, Ukraine, USA, so we can be sure of an impressive international roll call.
Be part of the renewables revolution seize the unprecedented business opportunities, and join us in Aberdeen on 19 and 20 May! he urges.
All-Energy 09 was a record breaker with 5,500 from 60 countries packing the exhibition and conference halls over the two days; over 380 exhibiting companies from 14 countries taking part; and 250+ speakers exploring all sources of renewable energy and stimulating discussion.
All-Energy, organised by Media Generation Events in partnership with QMDI, is held with input from a wide range of organisations ranging from government departments (Westminster and Holyrood) to professional bodies, RDAs and trade associations. The Society for Underwater Technology is the shows Learned Society Patron.
