Cranleigh farmers offer grants to agricultural and horticultural students
Worried about the cost of travel and equipment? Young people about to embark on agricultural or horticultural courses are invited to apply for a grant from Cranleigh and South Eastern Agricultural Society.
Cranleigh farmers know just how difficult it can be to get started and every year they make a number of grants available to help students. The maximum value of each grant is £500. Applicants must be from Surrey and West Sussex, be aged between 16 and 25 years old and be about to start or already attend a full-time, recognised training course.
Last year they awarded a grant to a horticultural student from West Sussex that paid for all his protective clothing.
So don’t miss out. If you are about to start an agricultural or horticultural course, contact Anna Giller at Cranleigh and South Eastern Agricultural Society for an application form on 01306 712050 or email: info@cranleighshow.org.uk. Applications are open now.
