Mario Scapin named Executive Vice President – Corporate Business Unit Full Line

The SAME DEUTZ-FAHR (SDF) Group, one of the leading manufacturers in the world of tractors, farm machinery and diesel engines, announces the appointment of Mario Scapin as Executive Vice President Corporate Business Unit Full Line.

Mario Scapin, 50 years old and Tuscan-born, has a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Pisa and a solid background in the field of agricultural mechanization, experience which began precisely at the SDF Group, where he worked from 1990 to 2001, becoming Research & Development Manager. He then moved to take a similar position with ARGO Spa, and was then appointed in 2005 as the Managing Director of Laverda and its subsidiary, Fella.

With an eye to develop the Full Line business, Mario Scapin will be in charge of coordinating all activities pertaining to harvesters, from production to after-sales service, in order to establish a presence on the market that matches up to the Group’s potential and is in sync with the values of the DEUTZ-FAHR brand and product. In a market that is increasingly populated by large companies offering a broad range of additional products and services, Mr. Scapin will also be responsible for handling the entire SDF Full Line business, with the intent of making a significant contribution to SDFs growth.

SDF is betting a great deal on the Full Line, so much so in fact that it has set up a new department with the specific intention of making a name for itself in the market as a leading player.
