KAR UK, one of the UK’s leading suppliers of irrigation equipment and products, has today announced its acquisition of the internationally recognised pioneer in the design and manufacture of water storage and irrigation systems, Evenproducts Ltd, for an undisclosed sum.
The move comes as part of the company’s strategy to expand into new markets, with a view to targeting rapid, sustained growth in 2013.
Alex Pfeffer, Managing Director of KAR UK, says: “Evenproducts is a unique company, one that is renowned throughout the UK and beyond for its high-quality, precision engineered products. We have been both a supplier and distributor of theirs for a number of years now, and I have always been a huge admirer of their excellent range.”
“This transaction combines a world-class portfolio of tanks and irrigation equipment with our unparalleled distribution network, which will allow more customers than ever access to the sought-after Evenproducts range.”
“I’m delighted to have completed this move and am very much looking forward to working more closely with the Evenproducts team”, he concludes.
With the deal, KAR UK will acquire the business and assets of the company, including its integrated design and research facilities, production line and operating headquarters in Evesham. Under the terms of the agreement, KAR UK will support and expand the international emergency aid programme operated by Evenproducts, providing water and sanitation equipment for fast-response emergency humanitarian aid to major agencies and non-governmental organisations worldwide. The present intention is for employees to remain in their current locations in Evesham.
