Description

2009 will be the 151st Great Yorkshire Show and will be a celebration of agriculture and country life.

The Main Ring is the hub of the Show - providing a wonderful setting for International Show Jumping and our World-Class Cattle Parade.

The 250-acre site is filled with animals, country demonstrations, have-a-go activities and the Great Yorkshire Cheese & Dairy Show. Plus there's fashion, rural crafts and shopping!

Each year the Great Yorkshire Show attracts in excess of 120,000 visitors - why not join us this year and be part of it!

Show programmes are an invaluable purchase on the day of the show as they contain full event listings and programme, a guide to what's on and the all important show map.

Description

If you're entertaining an ex-President, things have to be right so when Harrogate's new Yorkshire Event Centre was praised as 'a superb venue' at the Yorkshire International Business Convention, where Bill Clinton was headline speaker, it was more than gratifying.

However, YEC isn't restricted to providing a forum for the world's most charismatic raconteurs. It's also an ideal venue for public exhibitions, conferences, trade fairs, sporting occasions and events of all kinds.

Though very different in nature - and all requiring an individual, bespoke approach - every event has several common requirements: faultless organisation, exceptional facilities and in-depth assistance with marketing and planning. YEC has quickly built a reputation for the excellence of its service in these three key areas.

Being located approximately half way between London and Edinburgh, and at an east-west midpoint, YEC is geographically suited for national events.

This is facilitated by fast, easy access to major road and rail links, and our proximity to Leeds/Bradford International Airport.

Clearly, for exhibitors, the local audience is a crucial consideration ... and with 6 million people living within an hour's drive, in the 'golden triangle' of Leeds, York and Harrogate, you've a huge potential visitor base to draw on.
Additionally, the many spa town attractions of Harrogate are a magnet for approximately 3 million visitors each year, so there's more potential business for you right on YEC's doorstep.
